Business and human rights research

Hello, I’m Stephanie

I’m a business and human rights researcher working at the T.M.C Asser Institute in the Hague, Netherlands.

My PhD thesis, titled ‘International Investment Law from Below: Taking local community rights seriously’ was awarded cum laude by Erasmus University Rotterdam. In my thesis I interviewed members of a local community affected by a foreign investment project and found that international investment law marginalises public participatory rights.

I am open to freelance research and content creation projects on a diverse range of topics - get in touch to discuss your ideas.

For my full CV, see LinkedIn and my institutional profile. For my list of publications, see Google Scholar. For interviews with me and links to open access spreadsheets on human rights and investment arbitration, see my Linktree.
